PGA TOUR names Adam Sperling as Executive Director of the Truist Championship in Charlotte
Former Presidents Cup Executive Director to lead one of PGA TOUR’s premier Signature Events
CHARLOTTE, N.C. – The Truist Championship announced today that Adam Sperling has been named Executive Director of the longstanding PGA TOUR event, which will return to Quail Hollow Club in 2026 after being contested at The Philadelphia Cricket Club in 2025. Sperling, who led the 2022 Presidents Cup in Charlotte as Executive Director, will return to the TOUR after spending the last two years as Quail Hollow’s Director of Professional Golf.
“It is truly an honor to be named Executive Director of the Truist Championship at Quail Hollow Club, a Signature Event that has put forth a best-in-class experience for the Charlotte community for over 20 years,” said Sperling. “Our family has called this city home since 2018, so I know firsthand the passion and pride our fans have for this great event, and the expectation from all parties that we continue to raise the bar for years to come. I would like to thank the PGA TOUR, Truist and the Quail Hollow Club family for their unwavering support throughout this process as I can’t wait to get to work on behalf of all our stakeholders on this tremendous championship.”
In his role as Director of Professional Golf, Sperling helped secure the club’s strategic partnership with ESPN BET for market access in North Carolina; helped develop product strategy for the 2025 PGA Championship which returns to the club in May; and played an instrumental role in negotiating the club’s long-term partnership with the PGA TOUR.
