Atrium Health and Truist Championship sign multi-year partnership naming Atrium Health the Official Health Care Provider beginning 2026
CHARLOTTE, N.C. – The Truist Championship today announced Atrium Health as the Official Health Care Provider of Charlotte’s annual PGA TOUR Signature Event, set for May 4–10, 2026, at Quail Hollow Club. Through a multiyear partnership, Atrium Health will deliver enhanced onsite medical services, new wellness and comfort activations, and expanded Fan Forward amenities to ensure a safe, seamless and enjoyable experience for all attendees.
“At Atrium Health, we’ve always believed that caring for our community means showing up wherever health, wellness and connection matter most,” said Steve Smoot, North Carolina and Georgia Division President of Advocate Health, of which Atrium Health is a part. “This partnership with the Truist Championship is about more than supporting an elite sporting event — it’s an extension of our long‑standing commitment to athletes and to the Charlotte community we’re proud to serve. By working together, we’re honored to create experiences that promote safety, comfort and well‑being while strengthening the bonds that bring our community together, both on and off the course.”
As part of the partnership, Atrium Health will introduce a suite of new services and touchpoints across the tournament grounds that prioritize fan wellness, comfort and safety including:
Hydration Stations & Refillable Bottles
New to the annual event beginning in 2026, the Truist Championship and Atrium Health will feature 10 free refillable water stations and 5,000 sustainable drinkware to fans on a first come, first served basis redeemable at any Atrium Health first-aid station.
Family Care Suite
The Atrium Health Family Care Suite will serve as a dedicated space for families needing comfort or additional support while onsite. The suite will offer a comfortable private space with soft seating, refrigeration to preserve liquid and soft foods and general wellness assistance.
First Aid Stations
Atrium Health will staff and operate four branded First Aid Stations, strategically positioned around the course to provide prompt and professional medical care. Each station will offer essential supplies and treatment options for spectators, volunteers and tournament personnel.
Sunscreen Stations
As part of its commitment to the safety of fans, Atrium Health will provide sunscreen stations directly outside each First Aid location. Sunscreen will be supplied and replenished by Atrium Health throughout the week.
“Atrium Health is not only the preeminent health system in the region, but a trusted and innovative leader within the greater Charlotte community,” said Adam Sperling, Executive Director of the Truist Championship. “We’re excited to establish this partnership as we work to deliver unmatched experiences for fans at the Truist Championship. Atrium Health’s presence at Quail Hollow Club will help ensure a safe, seamless and enjoyable experience for everyone onsite, while providing tremendous support for our players, partners and fans.”
The partnership extends outside tournament week, with Atrium serving as a presenting sponsor of the Access, Opportunity and Development Summit in August 2026.
“Charlotte is Truist’s hometown, and bringing the Truist Championship here is about much more than hosting a world‑class golf tournament,” said Travis Rhodes, North Carolina West Regional President for Truist. “It’s about local organizations coming together to create something special for our community. Partnering with Atrium Health strengthens our ability to deliver a top‑notch, safe and enjoyable experience for fans, players and volunteers, while reinforcing the lasting community impact we want this event to have in Charlotte.”
“Delivering an exceptional experience for every patron who walks through our gates is something we take great pride in at Quail Hollow Club,” said Club President Johnny Harris. “Partnering with Atrium Health — the most trusted health care system in Charlotte — strengthens our commitment to ensuring a safe, welcoming and first-class environment for all who join us for the Truist Championship.”
