From a custom-designed trophy to enhanced fan experiences and five Charities of the Day, the tournament sets the stage for an unforgettable event

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – The Truist Championship today offered a preview of what’s ahead for tournament week during its Media Day on Tuesday, unveiling a newly designed custom trophy, highlighting enhanced fan experiences and announcing five Charities of the Day to be featured throughout tournament week, returning to Quail Hollow Club, May 6-10, 2026.

Media Day was held at Dunbar Social’s Topgolf Swing Suite at The Ballantyne featuring a panel discussion with tournament and community leaders. The program was emceed by Gary Williams, host and producer of 5 Clubs and featured remarks from Adam Sperling, Executive Director of the Truist Championship; Bill Rogers, Chairman and CEO of Truist; and Johno Harris, Executive Committee Chairman, Truist Championship.

The panel discussion was highlighted by the unveiling of the Truist Championship’s newly designed custom trophy by Truist Chairman and CEO Bill Rogers. Thoughtfully created with input from the local community, the trophy incorporates locally sourced materials and design elements inspired by the movement and defining moments of the game of golf. The result is a distinctive symbol that reflects both the tradition and evolution of the championship in Charlotte. In collaboration with SOCO Gallery, the trophy was designed by Charlotte-based artist Ivan Depena and serves as a tangible expression of Truist’s purpose to inspire and build better lives and communities, as well as its continued investment in its headquarters market.

Community impact was a central focus of Media Day, as Executive Director Adam Sperling announced the five official Charities of the Day, selected as the top fundraisers through the Truist Championship’s Birdies for Better program. As of April 14, participating nonprofits have collectively raised over $2 million and counting, marking a significant milestone driven by the tournament’s commitment to the community. The 2026 Truist Championship Charities of the Day include:

As Charities of the Day, each organization will be featured during a dedicated day of tournament week, providing opportunities to engage fans, connect with donors, and share their missions with the PGA TOUR community. Birdies for Better fundraising will continue throughout the week, enabling additional nonprofits and supporters to build momentum and amplify their overall impact.

Prior to local Media Day, Truist and the Truist Championship hosted defending champion Sepp Straka at Truist Park in Atlanta, Georgia where he threw out the ceremonial first pitch at the Atlanta Braves game, marking a special moment connecting the championship across sports and communities.
