Truist Championship’s “Mutts and Putts” Campaign Covers Dog Adoption Fees This Month
PGA TOUR event partners with Street Tails Animal Rescue to help local dogs find forever homes
PHILADELPHIA – With the Truist Championship just weeks away from teeing off at The Philadelphia Cricket Club, the tournament is rallying the city—and its furry residents—in excitement for the PGA TOUR's arrival through the launch of the Mutts and Putts campaign in partnership with Street Tails Animal Rescue. Through this month-long initiative, the tournament will cover adoption fees for local pups, helping them find their forever homes just in time for the May event.
Each dog adopted through the Mutts and Putts initiative will receive a custom bandana that celebrates both golf and Philadelphia pride. The bandana features a Philly cheesesteak (served in a dog bowl, naturally!), along with golf-inspired details and a nod to the Liberty Bell, making it a perfect mix of local pride and tournament spirit.
“From the course to the kennels, we’re committed to making a positive impact in the Philadelphia community,” said Joie Chitwood, Executive Director of the Truist Championship. “We’re incredibly grateful to the city for welcoming us, and Mutts and Putts is a fun way to support Street Tails Animal Rescue and give these deserving pups a chance to find their forever families.”

The Truist Championship, one of eight Signature Events on the PGA TOUR, will be held at the Philadelphia Cricket Club’s Wissahickon Course from May 7-11, 2025. For more information about the Truist Championship and its charitable initiatives, please visit: truistchampionship.com
